I just put some water in a mug and then heated it up in the microwave.

I would like to make flavored lattes in my dorm room. Currently, all I have is instant coffee, skim milk, a Keurig machine (with no K-cups, but it can boil water), and a microwave. How can I make a latte/cappuccino (don't know the difference haha) in my room? Additionally, where can I buy some flavored syrups (maybe vanilla or pumpkin spice)?
