I got a bunch of frogbit that had absolutely no roots on them. They were really healthy looking and green but no roots. I've seen a few ppl on here ask how to grow them long.


No current or water movement is key. I put mine all in a 5g bucket, put a tiny squirt of flourish in there and bought a cheap $13 clamp on nicrew Led light and in under 2 weeks, all have roots ranging from 2in-6in.


Just letting anyone know who was curious!

Another option which is quite popular is the asta 20 freshwater is quite popular.

You do need a light for a planted aquarium - an old school aquarium light is too low.

A desktop lamp with CFL or 6500k LED should also work well for a vase.
