Besides his own work which I think reads best chronologically I enjoy Young's books. Both his biography and "Nietzsche's Philosophy of Religion" https://www.amazon.com/Nietzsches-Philosophy-Religion-Julian-Young/dp/0521681049

Unfortunately I don’t know of any secondary literature which deals specifically with Christianity in his writings. Perhaps someone else on here might know?

My own personal understanding is that Christianity (and really all of the religions he mentions) is standing in as a symbol for some other idea which he’s criticizing. Hence why Jews are sometimes in and sometimes out. I don’t think he had a problem with Christianity as such; I think his main problem with Christianity is the morality which it espouses and how that morality prevents ‘higher types’ from achieving greatness when adopted, thus reducing their contributions to culture.

It’s not strictly on Christianity, but Julian Young has a very idiosyncratic reading of Nietzsche as being essentially a religious philosopher. I’ve only read his biography of Nietzsche—which does have quite a bit about his thoughts on Nietzsche and religion, as well as Nietzsche’s relationship with Christianity growing up—but I believe this book likely has his fullest exposition on the topic.
