I had the same problems mounting a Athlon 4-14x44 on my CZ. After a lot of searching, I found Nikon P-series mounts, which allowed me to get the scope further forward. They are picatinny, not dovetail though; I used the extended DIP rail to get the mounts as far forward as possible.
