I bought these Chippewa boots back in January, few weeks after I started and noticed how often my feet kept getting hit/caught by the most random things. I work market, and the freezer/cooler doors that have broken corners will hit me constantly, the fast mover green carts will hit the back of my heel if I'm pulling and not paying attention.
I switch between those and a pair of clarks boots I bought a few years ago every other day when working. Any scratches that happen still look good on boots. I only clean with a brush every now and then/wipe down with a damp cloth or paper towel. Both have some random dr. scholl's inserts for support. Both are almost an inch larger than my "normal" shoe size.
For the Chippewa's, took about a week to break in for me.
I'm lusting these lately.
