This Schwinn tandem would be good for an antique bike enthusiast who would not mind dropping $500 and spending the time and money to keep it running. I would not pay $500 for it, personally. Like any bike, fit is the most important criterion. If you're not looking to spend a lot of money, and not interested in performance, new, halfway decent tandems can be had for under $300. Again, not a great bike, but components are from this century, and it should be fine as a starter tandem.
