After my last woman-specific shaver died in less than six months, I got one of [these] (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0043DMNHS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). It stays charged for about week at a time and has a little popup trimmer attachment.
After doing quite a bit of research, I picked up this Panasonic 5 years ago, and have been using it happily ever since. No issues, and it still gives a very smooth shave.
That said, it looks as though they've updated this model since I purchased mine, so I can't vouch specifically for the new one... If they're still making them "like they used to", I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
Norelco-style (with the round foils) never worked well for me, due to some of the absurdly-thick hairs on my chin.
