Pen Pal Pen Holders - These suckers are awesome for our drive-through clip boards. Makes it look very professional and not as tacky as a string on a pen.

You could get something like a pen holder and attach it to the thing you use the stylus with most (assuming it doesn't have one built in).

Ok, so I don't have any double-ended brushes for this exact reason, but if by some chance, I just had to have one, I would go with something like this, this, or this. Not sure if any of those would actually work for you since you say you have a growing collection, but I thought they would be worth a mention.
I attached one of these things to my clipboard. Your solution might be better.
It is kinda hard to quantify, but I really think the clipboard has helped my tips.
