DO NOT use that. It got stuck in the housing. Had to spend twenty mins with a skewer to pry it out.
You can buy a strong tether that loops around the seatbelt (the part that goes across your body) and hooks onto your dog's harness.
Obviously secure it to a harness instead of a collar in case you get into an accident.

Is what we've been using for the past year on my Elantra's back seats for my shih tzu. We also have extras of the seat belt tether for my husband's car, and my mom's car. But just a bench cover for my car because that's the car we drive him in the most.
