I mainly use the green laser and my lowest power/widest field eyepiece, skipping the finder scope altogether when using my main scope. The finder scope is a 6x30, Orion, and does mount via dovetail. It's an okay finder scope, easy to calibrate, and got me by for a while and I still have it on there to use. On my other scope I just use a red dot finder like the one you linked to. Some people really like Telrads. Here's a tip: try keeping both eyes open when using the finder, it feels weird at first, but once you get used to it it's easier to aim.
