I have similar issues when my anxiety gets problematic. I find myself clenching my jaw a lot (it's tough to notice unless you know to consciously check for it), and after a few days of that I start getting jaw pain or twinges on one or both sides.

What I do is try to be more cognizant of when I'm clenching and then stop myself. At its worst, I use a cheap mouth guard when I sleep such as this one. Once I'm more on top of it, it usually improves after about a week.

It can be a migraine trigger.

I found some cheap (disposable) dental guards at a dollar store near me that helped somewhat. (They looked something like this, except the part where your teeth bite on was soft -- these don't look soft.) You can also find better ones on Amazon that might cost a bit more, but may help until you can see a dentist.
