absolutely not. If you want to have some "Airflow" i'd recommend you the Plantronics Backbeat Fit since they only sit loosely in your ears and you also still hear everything around you.

If you like the thicc bass and lower price you can go with the Anker Soundbuds Surge, which absolutely cut you off from your surroundings.

I have both of these and use the Backbeats to run outside (since i want to be able to hear cars etc. around me) and the Anker when i'm in the Gym, since i'm a sucker for bass. I was very pleasantly surprised with the Anker's Soundquality for the low price. but the battery needs to be charged after 4-5h of listen time, the Backbeats actually get like 7-8h runtime

I love my BackBeat Fit bluetooth headphones that sit in your ear so you can still hear things going on around you, but have good sound quality.

I have a set of these : https://www.amazon.com/Plantronics-BackBeat-Wireless-Bluetooth-Headphones/dp/B00P89AVRU/

They are great for the gym/running. They never fall out, have good battery life, and can get seriously wet (I even shower in them). I've had my pair for over a year, my wife has had hers for about 6 months. No problems with either set.

I ordered these: ($24) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077FRLKJX/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Roommate ordered these: ($60) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00P89AVRU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I figured it wouldn't matter too much. They stay in my ear when I run. He didn't want in-ear. His appear to be better quality, but I'm working out... idgaf. Idk about the signal though. I think it's better to put your phone out, might be hard to get signal out of the locker.

Have you looked at the Plantronics Backbeat Fit? I haven't used it personally but I've heard good things about it, and it appears to have a similar non-sealing earbud design to the AirPods while being considerably less expensive.
