As an alternative to modding cables (easy and inexpensive), for any Turtle Beach headset that has the 2.5 mm mini jack connector (like the PX5's), you can pick up an adapter and cable instead of modding.
You can't use any old 3.5 to 2.5mm adapter... it has to map the rings correctly. You're supposed to use the TB Talkback cable. This is the one I use with my Earforce Tango's. The TB compatibility page shows it'll work for yours as well.

No idea, but for my Xbox 360 Turtle Beach X12s, I just bought this cable. It works great and saved me the $100 I was about to throw down on an actual PS4 headset.

I would avoid any 2.5 to 3.5 adapters as I have had trouble with them. Get a cable that goes from 2.5 to 3.5.

Or you can get the xbox 360 one again. Although you don't need the volume and mute for the Xbox One. But, handy if you have a PS4 as well.
