Powercolor Red Devil is $440 and in stock right now.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B07WP6TYQ3

https://www.newegg.com/powercolor-radeon-rx-5700-xt-axrx-5700xt-8gbd6-3dhe-oc/p/N82E16814131752

Nitro is sitting at $470 on newegg and OOS on Amazon which is why 3rd party sellers have it listed at $505+.

A selection of AIB 5700 XT cards is up for pre-order:

  • This Sapphire Nitro is $30 less than Newegg's gouge ($40 if you consider the shipping cost tacked on)
  • The PowerColor Red Devil is also available for 99 cents more
  • The Sapphire Pulse is available but is more expensive than elsewhere
  • The XFX RAW II appears to be a new model at $420. It likely slots under the THICC II in the hierarchy.

As usual, free shipping and Amazon returns if needed.

FWIW I preordered the Nitro and they moved the ship date forward about 30 minutes after the order was confirmed. YMMV but I've had decent luck with pre-orders as long as payment clears when they feel like placing a hold on your card.

A few days ago I posted about running Borderlands 3 on my iMac (2017 5k 27” iMac with a 4.2 i7, 32GB DDR4 and a Radeon Pro 580 8GB), because I was amped it became available. When I started playing, I had to throttle the settings to the absolute lowest to make it smooth. I wanted to know, leveraging an eGPU, how I could get my iMac peforming better for gaming.

Most replies I received were people being assholes. Throwing in their “desktop gaming and iMacs don’t go together”. I get it, unfortunately I use it for work and wanted to get back into desktop gaming with what I had.

Luckily someone stepped up and guided me in the right direction. I jumped on Amazon, bought the Razor Core X and the Radeon RX 5700 XT and everything arrived today. Outside of the thunderbolt 3 cable being incredibly short, I’m proud to say I’m officially running Borderlands 3 at high settings with a smooth 30-35 FPS even in fast-paced action scenes.

He doesn’t want to be mentioned, but thank you for he guidance. To anyone else, I don’t know much about hardware/computers, but this setup cost me roughly $800. Worth it for a game? It’s not. But hopefully we get more gaming support moving forward.

Edit 2: Here’s the keyword/mouse switch I use.

A couple people have asked me how I only have one keyboard and mouse setup for 2 iMacs. I prefer wired connections, because I’ve found the Bluetooth keyboard to lose sync at the most inopportune times. So I bought this switch and wired the button under my desk so I can just quick-click it right in front of me to swap between iMacs and it remains hidden. It has roughly a 1-2 second delay as soon as you click it until the mouse and keyboard become usable on the opposite iMac.

Hey there! If you want the Red Devil, I'd get it now here at Amazon. Will be in stock early October, but you can order it now ahead of time! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WP6TYQ3/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_w02FDbJZ6JVC0

Gamers Nexus just released a videoon this, actually, recapping all their findings. The overall winner was the Gigabyte Gaming OC.

For balls to the walls, it was tied between the Sapphire Nitro+ and PowerColor Red Devil.

And just don't buy the XFX Thicc II or MSI Evoke.

Also, I did take these links from the GN video, so they are technically affiliate links. If you don't want GN to get a cut of the profits if you buy one of the cards using those links, just find them independently with a quick Amazon search (or whatever e-tailer you like best).

Red Devil was reviewed and it's really great. I pre-ordered it today on Amazon, but I believe it is sold out again. Here is a link https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WP6TYQ3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The Sapphire Pulse 5700 xt is also really good I just don't like the aesthetics. XFX Thicc 2 looks good too

u/Chewy718 · 2 pointsr/Amd

I would not buy the 2070Super and buy a 5700xt and with the savings squeeze a SSD in there as you will see major speed increases over a regular old spinning hard drive.

For 40 bucks more this version is the beat version of that card

u/chowbabylovin · 1 pointr/bapccanada

Not that version, it will probably be the normal edition which should be $10-20 cheaper... they created a new posting for it on amazon:

https://www.amazon.ca/gp/offer-listing/B07WP6TYQ3?SubscriptionId=AKIAJF4X3QDDEUEKC7FA&tag=nowinet-20&linkCode=xm2&camp=2025&creative=5143&creativeASIN=B07WP6TYQ3&m=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB

And they had one on newegg.ca but they seem to have turned it off. It's still on nowinstock though.

Awesome, thank you so much for your feedback!

It seems the 2070S Ventus is a bad choice for me then! I'm now looking at the PowerColor Red Dragon 5700 XT. Were you talking about the classic or the red devil.

Optimum tech just did a video about the classic one and yes, this seems nice.

However, from the Nouvolo website, the Steck only supports 16x PCIe 3.0 (max. L : 300mm, W : 45mm) GPU whereas the classic 5700 XT is apparently 2600 x 1300 x 50mm (from Amazon). Are you sure this one fit in the Steck?

EDIT: After reading on PowerColor website (which has a terrible scroll UX), the real dimensions specs are:

240mm*132mm*41mm (which is apparently the same width as your 2070S Ventus)

And the Steck supports up to 45mm.

However these dimensions are described as "Board Dimensions" on PowerColor website so I'm not sure it fully includes the heatsink and fans in the dimensions. I guess I'll just have to cross my fingers?

I totally see where your opinion is coming from, because this study was a comparison between reference models for each. The reference RX 5700 XT definitely doesn't have the cooler to adequately dissipate its heat.

However, this is nullified by the availability of AIB partner cards at INCREDIBLY reasonable prices. For example, the Powercolor Red Devil RX 5700 XT comes in at only $20 over MSRP and provides what has been reviewed as one of the best, near silent cooling solutions to the RX 5700 XT ON THE MARKET, which means for $80 less than a reference RTX 2070 SUPER you can have a card that reaches within 6% of the performance AND cools better as well as runs more quietly.

The other 3 youtubers got better performance than the NITRO on the STRIX. This Friday, Strix is on sale at a local massive Canadian Store chain.

https://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=43_557_558&item_id=141144 - Nitro $629

https://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=43_557_558&item_id=140970 - Strix $579

https://www.amazon.ca/PowerColor-Devil-Radeon-GDDR6-Graphics/dp/B07WP6TYQ3/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=5700+xt&qid=1574973400&sr=8-1 - PowerColor $593 (not sold at Canada Computers)

But if you wanna keep Apples to Apples:
https://www.amazon.ca/Sapphire-11293-03-40G-Radeon-Nitro-Graphics/dp/B07XMNGVVD/ref=sr_1_8?keywords=5700+xt&qid=1574973400&sr=8-8 - Nitro $663

https://www.amazon.ca/Radeon-Overclocked-DisplayPort-Graphics-ROG-STRIX-RX5700XT-O8G-GAMING/dp/B07X7KNBMK/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=5700+xt&qid=1574973400&sr=8-4 - STRIX $599

So using AMAZON prices:
Powercolor: $593
Strix: $599 ($579 at CanadaComputers)
Nitro: $663 ($629 at CanadaComputers)

You were saying about the Strix being the most expensive? Because It MUST be only where you live. In that case, I'd order off Amazon if I were you.
$6 difference between the Powercolor and Strix, from Amazon.ca
If I factor my local computer store, then the STRIX is the cheapest by $14.

I checked AMAZON**.COM** to see if in the USA its different. And Nope.
PowerColor - $419
STRIX - $449
NITRO - $483

Ok so we done with the Anti-Asus propaganda? Finish down voting me and lets get back to the Original topic.

While there are slight differences between this and the Red Devil all the reviews I've seen suggest that they're not big enough for the average person to notice. You can get the Red Devil for $420 on Amazon and I think it's also eligible for the Amazon cash back deal if you have that.

I like the new 5700XT series but not a fan of the 500 polaris series, you might want to return the gpu and get nvidia if you are in the sub-$250 budget:

https://www.amazon.com/Overclocked-Dual-Fan-DisplayPort-Graphics-DUAL-GTX1660S-O6G-EVO/dp/B07ZHWQ81N/

Otherwise, move up to 5700XT:

https://www.amazon.com/PowerColor-Red-Devil-Radeon-5700/dp/B07WP6TYQ3/

Why is your RAM 12GB? are you running mismatched pairs?
