What does "usually sells on Amazon for approximately $750" mean?

Because right now it's on sale for $550.

I own a cheaper Proform that has served us well for 3+ years. If I were to buy a new one I would try to get the biggest possible track I could find because ours makes me feel a little bit claustrophobic. I got it from Amazon for $600 shipped.

I had very similar needs/wants as you for my treadmill. I went with this one though it looks like there is a newer model. I bought it 2.5 years ago for $500 and it's still going strong!

For the first year, I used it about 3 times a week for 3-4 miles each time. Then, I stopped using it (foot injury) for about 6 months. Then for about a year, I used it for daily 1 hour walks and 2-3 times a week I'd do Tabata sprints for 10 min each time. Now, for the past year almost, I use it for running 15-20 miles a week, usually around an 8-10 min mile pace and occasional sprint intervals.

Its a no-frills treadmill. I think you can plug in your ipad and watch/listen to music, but it's on the louder side and I find that I can't hear my music through the speakers on the treadmill.

I've got pretty bad knees and joints in general, so I was concerned it would be too hard, but I think as long as you have a good stride and cadence, the surface is less of an issue. And like others said, running on pavement is worse.

As for the other things you mentioned - there are 2 cup-holders, it does fold up, it's easy to put together (i did it in under 2 hours with another person).

You didn't ask, but I don't think it is any faster or slower than other treadmills in terms of speeding up for intervals. It does max out at 10 mph though, so if you sprint faster than that, might want a different one.

We bought the ProForm 505 from Amazon for $500. The reviews were good, but I can't comment on longevity as we just got it. So far I am happy with the purchase. No excuses to not exercise!

I bought this one a year ago, and I havent had any problems with it. Its very sturdy, I weigh 225 (started at 240) and run 5 - 8 mils on it and no problems. Its kinda big though but you can fold it. You can probably get a newer model of it now tho.

Edit: I also bought this

and hooked it up so i watch movies and stuff on my laptop, i play hearstone too and it works well.

If I was you tho Id just run at the gym. you wont be the only big guy there.

$500 For a virtual reality treadmill that allows you to walk, run, jump, and crouch in VR.

$500 for an actual treadmill

My fiance did it before going to the police academy. It got him right and fast. He couldn't run for long before (he wasn't overweight, really - 15lbs or so - he just wasn't active. More sedentary.) Now he gets on the treadmill and runs a 5k distance every two days.

When you have the opportunity, I totally suggest it. If you have room for a treadmill start looking in thrift stores. It sounds weird but we found this one with the plastic still on it for $20.00 at Goodwill. People are funny. They buy equipment for resolutions and then don't use it. It's easy to pick up second hand gym stuff at thrift shops or on craigslist.
