you think you're saving money but it's a trivial amount.. get some proper anti fog and stop wiping shaving cream all over your damn car. 3-8 dollars for some anti fog.

Rain-X Anti-Fog prevents windows from fogging up. While you're at it, Rain-X on the outside, keeps the glass free of excess water; I don't use my wipers in heavy rain or at highways speeds.
I use RainX on all my windows and always been happy. It allows the window to clear really easy when it is raining and also the ice does not seem to stick as much. They have a no fog version too which has worked well in the past. I have not put it on my new car yet. You can coat eye classes and SCUBA masks with similar stuff but this is the automotive version.

Make sure you get the anti-fog RainX, not just the regular kind. Like this. Makes a big difference. Helps with fogging and makes it easier to see when you get sweat on your lenses, like I tend to.

I...I had no idea RainX had an anti-fog product. Reviews seem mixed but it's cheap and easy to try. Damn near LifeProTip worthy if it works.
I hear Rain X Anti Fog is really good for preventing/prolonging build up. I own a bottle of it, been too lazy too apply it yet though.
You can make any mirror not fog up by using this stuff. It's generally used for car windshields, but it works great for mirrors too
