You’re totally not alone! It’s complete hell. My hiccups have always been really loud and painful, but since having these issues it’s gotten worse. Drinking lots of water has helped me get rid of them before, and my wedge pillow has helped so much with the pain and discomfort when I get them.
Regular pillows aren’t very supportive - have you tried something like a foam wedge? My SO is about half a foot taller than me and we have this one. You can use it for missionary, doggy/prone from behind, over the edge of the bed, etc.
