Something I am looking into for my black dog is some type of cooling vest. I am most interested in the Ruffwear Swamp cooler. It uses evaporation to cool the dog. Not to mention it is white so it should attract less heat then a black dog would. I have seen someone use one on her pit bull when she went hiking and she said it allowed her dog to go longer then she was able to before.
