Hello everyone!
I had been wanting to post my edc for school and felt since the semester is almost over, now would be a great time. I am a computer science major and have been carrying this with me for several months now. Also, pls excuse the obvious line down the middle - i merged two seperate pictures together. So here is my edc from L>R, T>B.
I do carry all of this with me. It's not too heavy as I've tried to minimize the weight of the items I did decide I wanted to carry.

The tablet market is very slow moving. Prices don't drop much even after one year.
I'd say the K1 still offers unbeatable value IF your main purpose is gaming.
It's still a good value if you use it for non-gaming stuff, but there are some downsides which some people can't live with. For example, it's very heavy. It's currently on July 2016 security patch (6.0.1) and there's no commitment whether there's going to be further updates. It may also be laggy at times (although it's always smooth while in-game). Battery life is okay but not that great.
Also, the 2GB of RAM may or may not be an issue for you but it's kind of an annoyance for me.
Personally, I love my K1 a lot because I use it exclusively for gaming. If it's not for gaming, I'd probably top up $100 more to get the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 (this is the newer/2016 edition running Android 6.0) because it's lightweight and the display is so gorgeous.
Samsung is rumoured to launch the Tab S3 soon, probably at MWC in end Feb/early March.
