Pretty similar to the one in the video, but:

  • Faster CPU

  • 1TB Hard drive

  • Faster graphics card

  • Different case

  • Better power supply (XFX is a rebranded Seasonic PSU)

Fuck optical drives. The build was only 302 pounds without it without it. I would reccomend you buy a USB thumb drive like this one- it's cheaper, bigger, arguably faster and can be re-used. Just use your current computer to stick Windows on it.

    Questions?

Yes, but I've still got the feeling of BS. Currently this is only used on 3DS and Vita. On 3DS the cartridges can be up to 4GB, though at that point it is possible that they get costlier than usual 2GB. Unless microsoft either wants to stay at current (DVD) storage levels (which, really unlikely) or they're gonna bet all on making manufacturing cheaper (because they will use proprietary storage to avoid piracy), it's more likely they would go with bluray discs (or something like that, because hd-dvd didn't completely fail, right?) because flash storage isn't that cheap yet at comparable to bluray storage levels (Comparing PS3 max size of around 25-30GB (per layer) to 32GB Flash memory stick (which would be cheaper than SD-type card; but do add extra cost of the solution being most likely proprietary) you'd see it would be better for publishers to mass-print discs than buy more expensive storage)

Here, 32 GB for $18.59

Oh gotcha. That makes sense.

I'm not certain you could make this migration by manually copying the necessary files over to the SSD but you could try... I don't recommend it though. Small USB flash drives are cheap enough now adays.

There are other cheaper options too.

Tails 2.3 boots from my SanDisk Cruzer 16 GB SDCZ36-016G stick on my iMac. Amazon sells it for about $8. Amazon offers it in the Standard Packing or the Frustration-Free Packaging. If you order the Standard Packaging you can see whether the package has the Windows 8 Certification on the packaging. Any SanDisk USB stick that has the Windows 8 Certification is not bootable.

If you have a Mac, you can plug in the USB stick, open Applications ▸ Utilities ▸ System Information.app ▸ Hardware ▸ USB ▸ (name of USB stick) and look at the panel that contains the (name of the USB stick). If the line Removable Media: Yes appears in the panel, the stick is bootable. If the line Removable Media: No appears, the stick is not bootable.

Tails 2.3 appears to have a major bug that prevents Tails starting from my USB stick on my iMac after Tails Installer has installed Tails on the stick. If I install Tails on the stick manually, Tails will start from the USB stick, but Tails ▸ Applications ▸ Persistence is not available unless Tails Installer has done the installation on the stick.

Tails versions 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, 1.7, and 1.8 started from the same SanDisk Cruzer 16 GB SDCZ36-016G stick I am using now on the same iMac I am using now. With the release of Tails v2, Tails no longer boots from the same USB stick after Tails Installer does the installation on the stick. Tails starts from the USB stick only after I manually install Tails on the stick. I do not know how to resolve this issue. The Tails bug squad does not know how to resolve the issue. I think the Tails bug squad actually does not care whether the issue is ever resolved.

  1. Most people have a flash drive they could use for this purpose, which are far more common than extra Xbox hard drives.

  2. It's only required for certain things.
