I picked up this monitor and have been using is close to a year now and love its looks and performs really well 144 but its 3ms I was okay with that because of the curve and size as well as the super slim bezels.

This Sceptre I purchased for myself being a decent human being is pretty awesome. It's on the low-end of the gaming monitor totem pole, but for me it checked all the boxes.

  • Curved monitor
  • 144 Hz refresh rate
  • Freesync via HDMI
  • Built-in speakers

The speakers are tremendously "meh", but I usually game with a headset anyway. It's just nice to have in a pinch or for convenience. I really appreciate all the options there are in the way of modifying picture. I've had a bad run of black crush in a lot of monitors before, but this has a lot of features available to mitigate the issue.

I would go with 1080p. I wouldn’t push past it unless you have a 2080 really. At least if you’re looking to take advantage of the 144 hz. I just got a 144hz 1080p monitor in today from spectre. Not much testing done but so far so good. I have the same card as you. Spectre C27

I did find this monitor from sceptre for $247 but I’m questioning the reliability of it. Does anyone have a sceptre monitor and if so how good is it?

Oh boy, here we go with hardware critiques. Well, I actually use the usb-c input to connect my Mac when I’m not gaming so it also serves a productivity function. Honestly, I only kept it because of that one port and it wasn’t insanely expensive (also got it on sale). If I do decide to make the switch to a monitor with a faster/higher refresh rate, I’d need one that has built-in speakers and is 27-32” as those are big deal breakers for me

Update: What are your thoughts on this?

This is the absolute best bang for your buck that you can possibly get. It's 144 hz 27 screen that isn't tiny like 24, and lastly is curved which makes even that much better.

I was thinking 1920x1080 - this is the one I'm considering: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07N6ZBCVY/ref=psdc_1292115011_t1_B01CX26WIG

Yea true no point of getting a computer that can run that fast if the monitor won’t show it. What about something like this not $400 but would it be suffice?

Thanks broski and yeah I got ya. It’s definitely a solid budget monitor. It uses a VA panel instead of IPS, but if you’re not picky it’s still a really clean monitor.
