If you can find them, the Riedel Degustazione red glasses are my everything, everyday, every time glass. They put up with a lot of abuse and work really well. They're the restaurant series glasses, so not always available.
I also like the Schott Zwiesel Tritan line.
I prefer to drink out of glass, though I don't have any really good wine glasses. I tend to get clumsy and careless when washing them, accidentally knock them over if I'm sipping while preparing dinner, and my husband is the proverbial bull in a china shop.
But, while we are on the subject, I'd like to know what these style of glasses are called: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MIOGBA4/ref=sspa_dk_detail_5?th=1
I've used them at several restaurants and like them.
