This will sound strange, but the singular food that seems to most agree with me when I am having a flare is Original Pan Pizza from Pizza Hut. No toppings—just cheese.
The only thing I can figure is that I basically grew up on that as a kid and perhaps my microbiome has evolved to handle it perfectly. 😂 I normally eat a healthy vegetarian diet. But when I’m having a flare, I go right to it.
I also go for a lot of rice, mainly because I love rice and this is an excuse to eat it in excess. My favorite is Shirakiku Cooked Gohan Rice, which I buy in bulk at a particular Asian grocery whenever I’m in Chicago, which is usually twice a year on business. Haven’t found it locally, or online at a reasonable price. Heats in two minutes, and I have it with a little bit of butter and salt.
