Anyone have any experiences on a SilverStone PSU? I'm planning to get this one SilverStone SFX-L PSU and trying to fit it in a mini itx case (link below). 500W is all I really need since I'm not planning on OCing. Do you guys have any other recommendations on a good small PSU?

I'd recommend an SFX-L PSU instead like the SX500-LG, which will be far quieter than the smaller 600W one.

You'll only be using around 300W while gaming anyway.

Opps my apologies: Silverstone | Supernova
i'm going to use a i7-4690K and a MSI Radeon R9 290 and plan on doing some overclocking down the line (mini-itx build btw)

I have a Silverstone SX500-LG Fully Modular 500W Gold SFX-L Power Supply Link. It's the same width as SFX, just a tad longer to accommodate the slim 120mm slim fan. Lightly used in MINT, excellent working/physical condition with all OG cables in OG box for only $80 shipped. Lemme know + Check out some of my other stuff! Reddit LINK

Hmm, well that rules out compatibility mode on pcpartpicker, they only use aftermarket items. I would recommend Silverstone, they make a lot of PSUs for SFF builds. The 500w SX500-LG will fit under your dimension at 125 mm (W) × 63.5 mm (H) × 130 mm (D). Problem is they're about $100. Best thing IMO would be to buy a cheaper "normal" 500w PSU and a new case. Which would be about $55 after rebate. I've included a cheap case, PSU, and GPU far better than the 750ti in the list. You could get this for about $210 after rebate.

I would have gone with the ML08 but I couldn't find one on Amazon at the time. Glad I didn't though, means less footprint in the case for a handle and with this case, don't really need a handle.

Using this for the PSU: http://www.amazon.com/SilverStone-Technology-Modular-Lengthened-SX500-LG/dp/B00SD9IORQ?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s02

Using some $10 low profile CPU cooler I found at Frys (I was doing a case swap and didn't realize the parts I had were far too big, so I took an emergency trip to Frys as I was building this for a demo I had the next day). Literally any decent low profile CPU cooler would work better than the one I'm using.

~60C on CPU at full load, ~85C 980TI on full load, if case is running laid horizontally with nothing on top of it.

Pelican 1640 on Amazon, came with foam. Was ~$270. In hind sight I'd probably go with the bulkier and heavier 1660 just so I can squeeze a few more things in nicely, instead of piling a bunch of small bits on top of the monitor.
