I was looking at the 500 on Amazon and every review said ads popping up all the time. Are you saying you never see ads on the 350 and the quality and user interface is good enough that you can see and control a clear picture? check the reviews for yourself

The best choice is the Slingbox 350. $89 at amazon with Prime shipping. No HDMI support with the 350- but it has component and does 1080p. Component is better for the slingbox than HDMI because it prevents any cablebox/dvd player from turning on the copy-protected flag on content preventing playback. TV shows such as game of thrones can be disabled from playing on a Slingbox with HDMI because of the copy flag. On component cables- you won't have those problems and still get 1080p.

There was a serious discussion on one of the team subreddits about fans that don't live in the same city that their team plays in (in my case, I happen to live in NYC, Giants territory). The suggestion was that such fans should try to work out some kind of a deal with fans that do live in the city their team plays with, that involved buying one of those fans a slingbox so that they could stream the games that don't show up on the NBC or FOX broadcast in their area. I was always interested in the idea, but it unfortunately never really took off, and I didn't look into it for too long. Did any* thing come of this?
