yea, just spent the last few hours cleaining their pens, dumping everything, and putting a nice layer of dust all over it and letting it settle before letting the buns back in.
girlfriend bathed them in dust, well more like gently applied to them and avoided face as we know no one should breath that stuff in just in case. that way any mites on them will die off.
going to make a vett appt tomorrow, nail trimming, teeth filing and checkup to see if they have mites or ticks.
sigh..
time to dip into the savings account. why us, why now? where did those come from?!
like i said, i noticed a few of these things on the box of hay we have. I dusted that thing and around it last night, and then covered it in a garbage bag and took that to the dumpster too.

the hay we always got, was always fine, but then again im not even 100% sure those things came FROM that hay. we were fine for a month or so and then started seeing those things crawling around...they seem to have just appeared out of nowhere.
I have a feeling my girlfriend brought them back form her parents house, that place is FILTHY, like a hoarders house. She had to babysit for her parents sugargliders for a week, she took one of the pens with the rex to be with him that week, and we brought back the dwarf bunny her parents were taking care of.
So maybe it came from that bun, however her parents usually are real good about taking it to the vet and keeping it clean, but their house looks like a disaster. so those things probably were all over the pens at that house and brought back here. ugggh
were still seeing one or two of them here and there as I kill them when i see them, hopefully they will slowly become extinct.
