What is the arche? What is existence 'made up of', at a core ontological level?

Neither atheists or Abrahamists will tell you -- the atheist will refer to "randomness", to chance, to living beings somehow "emerging" from dead collections of atoms, atoms which hold to the bizarre delusion of free will. To be a materialist (as most atheists are) is to be clueless about what happened before the Big Bang (and about how something can spontaneously emerge from nothing) and to reject mind, purpose, rational unobservables (in favour of the irrational credo of "only what can be sensed can exist" when the physical senses evolved for survival, not to show us Truth or noumenal reality! -- for that we need to use objective reason).

Abrahamism (monotheism) is equally irrational, and runs into just as many logical problems. If there is a "Creator", then who created him? (Why is it a him?) Or if this alleged creator is eternal, then how are they compatible with a universe of matter and entropy? Or are they outside matter, outside spacetime? But in that case, what exactly is the ontology of God? What is "God" made up of? Even more importantly, how did God create the universe? It's not enough to say "oh, he's all powerful, he simply thought it into being, it's beyond our comprehension" -- that simply begs the question, it is an evasion. Nothing is answered. Nothing is explained.

If your idea of a "conscious entity creating the universe" (when it's questionable whether a lone conscious entity can even evolve consciousness in the first place, if it is inherently a group phenomenon) comes from a "holy text" -- then which one? Is it the Bible, the Koran? Every "scripture" says different things and if you pick the wrong one, apparently you're going to hell! So you'd better choose carefully. And that's not even mentioning the fact the "God" depicted by monotheists behaves more like the Demiurge, a Cosmic devil, a psychopathic dictator, an abusive father writ large. "God" ordered Abraham to be prepared to murder his own son simply because "God" ordered him to -- is that a rational, intelligent, altruist being? Or the quintessential Nazi, forcing people to "just follow orders" -- and wiping out entire cities, and nearly the entire human race (in the case of the "Flood") for the actions of a few people?

There is an escape route: ontological mathematics. The only thing that can qualify as the arche, that can govern a predictable, rational universe that follows fixed mathematical laws is reason itself! The universe is literally 'made up of' reason and mathematics (numbers i.e. sinusoidal waves within dimensionless Leibnizian monads, alternatively 0D points or Riemann spheres with infinite internal capacity). Each dimensionless monad represents an eternal "soul", or mind with total free will.

There is no "lone creator being". That's an entirely irrational stance. It fails to take into account any ontology (what the creator being is made up of), and how it can create a universe and/or interact with it. Everything is made up of mathematics. The universe is a monism. The arche must be a single substance. It cannot be "partly one thing or the other", because then a form of irresolvable Cartesian substance dualism immediately arises -- how do the two disparate substances interact with each other? What is the mechanism for it?

In fact, the universe is actually incredibly simple, in accordance with the PSR (Leibniz' Principle of Sufficient Reason) and Occam's Razor. "Matter" is the mathematics of 6-dimensional spacetime. Mind is the mathematics of 0-dimensional i.e. dimensionless frequencies (sinusoidal waves within Leibnizian monads). The universe is a dual-aspect monism (neutral monism) with mathematics as the arche.

Matter and mind are both made up of mathematics, and they interact with each other via mathematical Fourier transforms in both directions. What could be simpler, more rational or more beautiful? In fact, the true 'candidate' for a Creator is mathematics itself (i.e. unconscious mathematical zero-dimensional monads, dialectically and mentally evolving).

Thesis: irrational, emotional stories "religion": A psychopathic 'Devil being' is God

Antithesis: irrational, sensory experience i.e. empirical science or "atheism": There is no God, everything is "random", we're just materialist machines with no free will

Synthesis: rational, mathematical reason -- ontological mathematics! Mathematics is God. Mathematics (which is 'built into' dimensionless monads) is alive, dialectical, self-actualising.

You would probably like the [God Series][6dc4e5a7] then, which is the first "religion" for INT's -- vaguely referred to as Pythagorean Illuminism or Ontological Mathematics. This is where I got the idea about the tribes in the first place. I don't buy into everything they say, but I found it a great catalyst for new ideas. Pythagorean Illuminism and CTMU are my favorite extra-scientific philosophy "distributions".
