I posted a few times on here and wanted to give an update for people who had the B450 Tomahawk. I just returned mine to Best Buy yesterday and bought the B450 Gaming Plus off of Amazon. I took it out, plugged the ATX 24 pin power into it and flashed it with the most recent gaming plus USB once. The red CPU light was still on when it restarted, and I turned it off. Put everything back into my case and booted up and worked with no issues.

I am installing windows now. My specs:

There's no real way to get rid of it. If it has gotten much worse then I would recommend replacing it. If it's the same as it was on day one then I wouldn't worry about it. But you can't really get rid of the whine.

There's a good quality budget PSU. I would definitely recommend replacing it. Remember, when a PSU dies, the whole build goes with it.

I ended up buying this psu https://www.amazon.com/dp/B014W3EAX8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_h9csDbQMC4BZN

It has a five year warranty and has pretty good reviews for the most part.

This is my PSU -
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014W3EAX8

There are 2 PCI-E adapters, so that's can work with adapter - but how it's gonna affect the performance and OC?

Eh, I was hoping that you will say that I can use only that 8 pin without 4 pin and be safe...

u/wanderlove21 · 1 pointr/AlienwareTechsupport

Well it has two sets of the 2 by 6 pins. The website you showed says I need a 6 and an 8. I also ordered another psu. 700 w smart thermaltake 80 plus white. Here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B014W3EAX8?ref=ppx_pt2_mob_b_prod_image . Not sure if it has 8pin or not.

u/iamacannibal · 1 pointr/HomeServer

I went with a thermaltake Smart 700watt and 8 pin to dual 8 pin splitter to power both CPUs.

I found a higher wattage, cheaper power supply here: https://www.amazon.com/Thermaltake-Certified-Continuous-Active-PS-SPD-0700NPCWUS-W/dp/B014W3EAX8/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=700w+power+supply&qid=1568433914&sr=8-3

Would the one listed in the pcpartpicker list and this one be interchangeable?

u/Puno79 · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

the parts are here

I now just realized that you didn’t want the list and I could just see if there were any issues I am an absolute Buffoon sorry

But I can’t find this at pc part picker, is this bad? It was bought on prime day but I’m not sure if it’s ok or not

u/Korprat_Amerika · 1 pointr/buildapc

Oh geez yeah you might wanna look into something better, lol pushing the limits for what youre running already. I wouldnt add anything to the system without swapping that out.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B014W3EAX8/?tag=pcpapi-20

something like that is about the cheapest good one I can find but cehck out pc part picker. you can set your parameters say 80 plus bronze and 650 watts and sort by price, you can pick the cheapest one with 4 or 5 stars. Dont get that raidmax near the top of the list for price for example. looks sweet on paper has rgb, but has 0 stars and has reviews about it melting lol
