Show me a contigo that can actually have a lid that can be properly disassembled for cleaning and is dishwasher safe. As far as I'm aware, they're just lazy metal containers with shit lids.

I've yet to find one that cleans better than that and keeps stuff just as hot. Fuck their 5hr claims - It's definitely gone for 8-10hrs before.

I have two of these and they're great. With the lid clicked open, my coffee's hot for about two hours, and with the lid clicked closed it stays hot for 4-5 hours.
I have a Contigo mug and I don't like it anymore. I don't know what happened but it doesn't retain heat anymore. When I first got it the outside never got warm or hot. It might have gotten a little warm at the top since that's the thinnist spot. But now the whole mug gets pretty warm through out as soon as I poor my coffee. Which equals heat loss.
I was using this Thermos one before and it was perfect. Retained heat and the outside never got warm at any point of the mug. But the lid was hard to keep clean and it has some silicone parts in it which was impossible to remove the smell/coffee color from so it would mess with the taste.
I might go back to the Thermos and deal with the silicone. Even after a 8 hour shift at work the coffee would still be warm not that I would still drink it at that point. It just goes to show how well it works. The Contigo the coffee is cold after 2ish hours.
Also the Contigo lid cleans easy. The one I have is just one piece. Thought I would mention that after reading one of your comments.
