Mine was EXACTLY the same when I purchased my 12 in 1 over 2 months ago. I'm still waiting for support to send me the replacement. You can take it apart to see if one of the rollers isn't lining up but other than that, you either have to deal with one of the worst customer support experiences you've ever faced or purchase an after market track ball like the Thunderstick trackball. I've taken mine apart and the spinners provide too much resistance so the metal pads don't move as the ball rolls against them. One of them spins freely but the other stops fairly quickly when you spin it. I think the plastic spacers on each side of the metal pad are creating too much resistance so it doesn't spin freely. I may try putting some graphite in there to see if it improves the spinning, but there is now way I'm going back using the factory trackball regardless.
I replaced mine over a month ago with an after market trackball and I keep bothering A1up's support to send me my replacement just to see how long it will actually take.
