This is one that can be used inside of a car or outside that runs on AA batteries if you are worried about car issues. I have one. I use it in my yard for studying the movement of wildlife and feral cats.
You can strap it to anything and it should work if it is inside the car. One specifically designed as a driving camera might be more discreet though... but I am sure they exist that don't run on the car's battery.
