Unless you need 10gb or device isolation I would just buy a dumb switch.

Worse than horrible customer service.
I received a defective unit that would not connect to any 100 Mpbs devices. I contacted customer service to get it fixed or replaced.
Here's the response I got;

"Dear Errol,
Many thanks for your valued reply.
Really sorry for the delay in getting back to you as I was off duty yesterday.

It seems that there is something wrong with the speed negotiation between the switch and your 100Mbps devices. In this case, sorry but I'm afraid that we cannot do anything on this switch as it's just plug-and-play.

Your understanding will be highly appreciated.
Have a good day."

That's it. I'm stuck with a broken switch.
I will never buy another TP-Link product again.

Okay so heres my new plans for the design:

250FT Stranded UTP Cat6 - $45

Cat6 Connectors for UTP Stranded - $11

12 Port Vertical Mini Patch Panel for Cat6 - $20

8 Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch - $29

10 Pack Wall Plate 2-Port Keystone Jack - $10

10 Pack Keystone Jack Cat6 - $14

Total: $129, but previously $131 (100ft cat6 + connectors + wall jacks) and this does much more. Would that be good?

This switch is a good one: TP-Link SG-1016D - $72 on Amazon. It should have holes in the bottom of the case to hang it on 2 screws.

This is also a good one: Netgear GS316 - $61 on Amazon. It's slimmer than the TP-Link since all the ports are in a single row. It also comes with a wall mount kit.

Find where all the ethernet wall terminations come together. Once you find that put a switch (8 port, or 16 port) there and patch each one in. If they aren't currently terminated or patched, you may need to hire someone to come and do it for you. Then it's just a matter of plugging on of the ports on your router to one of the ports on the switch. After that all ethernet ports throughout the house would become live.

16 port Gigabit Ethernet. I have not had a single issue with any of the TP links switches I have installed.

Patch Panel is up to you. Keystone panel and jacks will be easier to work with but will be a little more expensive (about $1.25 per jack). Just make sure you use the same model keystone jacks as the panel. Cable matters/Monoprice/ICC all make decent panels.
