It's not fair.

The Muslim community where I live has done amazing things. They recently opened the biggest mosque in the city to house people who had no where to go during our longest cold snap in history.

They collected a TON of donations of money and goods after the fire in Fort Mac a few years back, and they offer support to communities in need here all the time.

Yes, there are Muslim terrorist groups. But where I live I hear FAR more vitriol and hate from awful white people than from anyone else. And I work with the public daily. And there are Christian and white hate groups too.

For context, I'm a 31 year old white lady.

I've also not been reading that posters thread because they make me so uncomfortable. It really does seem to hit all the tropes. (Also...I feel like they read this book and took advantage of something which was meant to be a funny and poignant poke at a culture from the inside and twisted it.)
