I used the pinned post mostly on this sub and then YouTube! Got floetrol as my pouring medium and an awesome silicon from amazon (this one here ), I also got the Liquitex high gloss varnish — I’m going to wait to varnish it in a few weeks when it’s cured. I used craft smart acrylic paint from Michaels. Canvases from Amazon.
What I’ve figured out is that everyone really does it differently re: mixing paint/medium/water. I did a roughly 50/50 paint and floetrol mix, then added water until it was like melted honey. I did use a butane torch, but I think it would have worked better if I torched it immediately after pouring and would have had more and larger cells if I used more silicone (I only used 3 drops in one of the colors I used) and didn’t mix it in as much.
