In the past I’ve just used lightweight produce bags you get in a grocery store and slip those over my dry socks and then wear my trail runners. After my last incredibly wet/hot/humid trip, I decided to I buy a pair of these to give them a try:

Note that they’re less than 5 oz for the pair which makes them lighter than any other options in this price range as far as I could find anyway.
I also bought a pair of SealSkinz gortex socks. We will see which works out better.
