>Its intent is to kill the baby; look at the techniques employed!

It's intent is to remove the fetus from the uterus in the safest way possible. Like many people, I'm pro-choice because I believe a woman should have bodily autonomy. In your hypothetical scenario, I would be fine with replacing abortion with 'fetal transplantation' as long as the risks to the woman were the same. To me, forced pregnancy is akin to temporary slavery and no government should have the right to use the organs of it's citizens without their consent.

I'm not going to read that blog. Too many times the pro-life side has been caught in massive lies (by me personally researching their so-called 'information') for their propaganda to have any weight with me. Like I said before, show me something with the weight of truth behind it that I can verify myself.

If you want to learn more about what it was really like for women before Roe v. Wade then I would suggest starting here and checking out the sources at the bottom of the article. You can also find numerous stories of women who have had illegal abortions, some of them died. There is also a very good documentary called 'When Abortion was Illegal' and an excellent book called When Abortion was a Crime that I recommend for anyone who wants to start researching the topic.

Late to this party, but Leslie Reagan's When Abortion was a Crime is fantastic on this subject.
