Reddit reviews When the Game Was Ours

My vote is to start with a more modern book and not go all the way back to Red or Russell but I'm open to anything. When the Game was Ours is supposed to be pretty good. Top of the World would also be a good option. Is it good or bad if we were all there for the story?!

When the Game Was Ours. It's about Larry Bird and Magic Johnson's rivalry. I finished it within a week; really good.

  They all look good, but Red and Me stood out the most to me. At a rate of one book every month, that would be about 25% every two weeks.
  
  EDIT: Now that I've seen which book Top of the World is, I think I'd vote for that first. :)
