No, not that much at all. Just get smaller soft soled shoes. There are a lot of affordable options on Amazon. We used some very similar to these and they worked out great. Just measure the length of your daughter's foot in in/cm and use the size chart in the product photos. The age estimates are not very accurate, but if you go off numerical length it's hard to get the wrong size.
