To be honest, the weight to straighten the leg was almost ineffective for me.

The PT used to put my ankle on the top of a rolled small towel and push my knee down. Also he used to make me lay on my back, sit on my good leg, took the leg with the problem and push it back and up to make it totally straight. After three painful sessions, my knee was totally straight. This was done after 4-5 weeks after surgery.
