Yeah, mounting the monitor is no issue for me but the ventilation is definitely something I didn't really think about. I might mount that power brick to the back of the desk and drill some holes like you said. thanks!
Edit: Been thinking about it and I don't use the peripherals in the drawer often (hard drives just for backup every so often and the DVD drive to copy a few DVDs here and there. I think if I mount something like this fan on the underside of the drawer it may solve my issue. I get the computer fans that already have a USB attachment, then I just plug them into a cell phone charging block.

You can get USB extension cords if the cord isn't long enough.
I'm going to purchase a dock over the summer and try to mod it and line up a 80MM fan about an inch from the air inputs so I have a nice flow of air going into the bottom of the system.
