I don't know, I may try it, but my goal is to make it look good. Do you need to prepare your coins first before electroplating? Like clean them somehow? I'm wondering if oil or invisible dirt contributed to my failure before.
You said you don't need a hot plate...what chemicals would you recommend? How about 99.9% zinc sheet metal and just sit the pennies on top in a solution?
