This definitely sounds like it might be the time to break any screen time rules and just let her plug in as much as she wants. If you have netflix, store some videos on the tablet ahead of time.

Snacks, light blanket, travel buddy and a few surprises for along the way, but try not to bring anything that will inevitably get lost in some tiny bus nook.

We got our 4yo something like this (they come with varying amounts of pockets and whatever) for the trip we finally made to visit my mom. It actually turned out to be more popular for car drives than the plane because the plane has a tray table which is THE SHIT, apparently. I don't remember if buses have those, but if you have space and don't mind toting it around, it could be really good, and can store stuff like markers and colouring books inside.

Note, my kid stayed awake for a full 6-hour evening return flight that ended way past her bedtime, so the novelty of the whole thing may keep yours awake for quite a while too.

Awesome ideas! Yeah, I'm thinking of getting one of these for him so some of his toys/activities are within reach.

I had these cool door stoppers that hook into the hinge, but as it turns out my kid loves trying to jam the door shut even more and actually stripped the holes with the screws. I had to put super glue in the holes while shoving the doors back into place while it dried. I use these now and he hasn't ripped any doors off yet.

  Books! I had done so much of the essentials (sounds like you have) that I ended up putting a fair amount of books on my registry. People were more than happy to buy those.
  
  

It was on the floor and still tipped over, 1 small drink 1 medium and one XL the weight of the XL tipped the others over when I made a turn, not even that hard of a turn.

I have been looking on Amazon and these 2 look the most promising one is 2x the cost of the other but the other seems better quality.

Not sure which if either I should go for.
