Although it says "animal" it's perfect for humans.
So far I've only gotten him shaved once, and it wasn't a full shave it was just his butt >_< It had gotten all matted when he molted and he's really finicky about letting me brush his butt. It was at the Bunny Spa Day put on by our local shelter and the lady who shaved him keeps Angoras herself.
I thought about having it done at the vet but they told me they would anesthetize when they shave them which always seemed completely unnecessary to me. I think I'm just going to DIY in the future.

Gave him a close-ish trim. Like, we used one of these trimmers with an attachment that makes it leave the hair a bit longer, so that his hair got thinned down quite a bit.
I have a long hair cat that gets matts under her arms even with brushing. I bought this trimmer to remove the matts myself at home and it works fantastic! I tried using a beard trimmer first but it wouldn't cut through her fur at all. This one worked great and I had the matt out in under 10 seconds.
