So, now I'm 49. Pretty well everything is changed.

No mystery, OP put it right in the title. It's a coin pouch. You can buy them via Amazon or major retailers.

We do tend to seem a bit younger than our peers, but there is a fine line between that and things that are truly childish, so good call on what your mom picked out.

Many of us like animals and cute things though. Maybe something like this ? (Kinda want that for myself, ngl lol... I also saw some similar things at American Greetings the other day if you don’t want to order online.) Or something fun like those string lights you can hang up in your bedroom? Or maybe stuff like notebooks/pens? (They have lots and lots at TJ Maxx/Marshall’s.)

It can be hard to know what a good gift would be, because we’re all so different & tend to be kind of particular people :S

Insulin pen user here. Pencil cases are perfect, as long as they're 8" or so. My pens are 6"+ and 7" cases are crowded at the opening.

My favorite is this goatskin zipper pouch for \< $10. It has a crinkly leather texture that I can identify by touch in my bookbag.

Next step up in size would be the toiletries/makeup bags.

Since this is BIFL I'll say I've banged my goatskin case around for a couple of years and it doesn't show any wear, it just gets a little more flexible and comfortable with time. I'd say for $10 it's pretty astonishing work.

If you don't like Amazon, shop these products at Etsy. Prices ~double but there's more creativity.

Apparently they are a Quickoin! and you can totally still get them as promotional items!

Kinda hard to read, but the logo looks like it says "Coin Sorter Wallet". Quick google search and I got this Amazon link.

Hello,

I am able to get this wallet for a nice price. I am a M, but I would buy it for a F25. It says it's a "unisex" wallet, but I wanted to ask if it's not too masculine, as I have a very similar wallet myself.

Thanks!

Probably! There are SO many novelty purses on Amazon. Here’s one: Sleepyville Critters-Hotdog Sandwich Zip Coin Purse https://www.amazon.com/dp/B013CUFUUO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_39X.zbXBGRQB4

I don't carry coins anymore, but when I did, I liked them separate from my wallet and zipped, not buttoned. I had something a lot like this. I had this one before, but I didn't like how the coins sat with the cards, if I had more than about 5-6 coins in that zip.

EDIT: Oh, I'll add that in the rare occasion that I actually have coins now, I keep them in that little pocket on my pants. I also usually carry my Scallion there, too.

I like the Manhattan Portage coin purse . It's just large enough to be useful but still small enough to fit comfortably in your pocket. There aren't and dividers inside though if that's a feature you want.

I used to have one of these (though not from Amazon, so I can't confirm the quality of these specifically) and it fit in my back pocket as long as I didn't stuff too many receipts or spare one dollar bills in it.

Edit: I thought these had a wrist strap, but it's just a pull! Sorry.

Edit 2: I know this is not exactly what you're looking for, but if you got this and this you could fashion what you're looking for!

Costs $9, comes in a bunch of colors, it's a wallet size zippered pouch made of cordura. Holds my 20ish cards + a swisscard + a few hundred cash & some quarters with room to spare.

u/ImALittleCrackpot · 1 pointr/EDC

A squeeze coin purse would hold all of that. You could get a vinyl one from almost any hardware store, or you could get a fancy leather one.

u/drgnbyt · 1 pointr/pics

Nah! Not until he uses one of these

Replying another comment, because I'm not sure you'd notice an edit. I had this Piel bag in mind originally, but also just found this DKER and this MEKU coin purse after a quick search. The prior is a woman's coin purse, but I think the neutral colors are pretty unisex. I'm sure you could find some other great finds if you tried. I'd just be wary of "genuine leather" bags / wallets - they are the cheapest kind of leather and are not quality long-term purchases.

I also ended up finding this Mancini Leather men's wallet with a built in coin purse, you might like it.

Good luck with your decisions! :)

Perhaps a good pair of leather driving gloves, that you wash every day when you get home? That would provide a layer of insulation from the germs everywhere, and they look more classy than latex.

Another thing regarding the coins, is maybe if you got one of those coin purses like this and just opened it to allow the cashier to drop your change into it? That would keep you from having to touch the coins before you wash them.
