Your insulting tone, your compulsive lying, and the dishonest negative aspersions you are attempting to cast is why I didn't reply until now. I wasn't sure if it was worth deigning to reply to your comment, only to reiterate already belabored points.

First, there's your disgusting, dishonest, and fascistic accusation of "disrespect". I am sure every Nazi in 1940s Germany felt like those who didn't support the Nazi party, and actions of their Fuhrer was "disrespecting" the fatherland. You claim to be older and "wiser", but the lack of wisdom here is appalling. As far as what it means to be part of a body politic, I take the same view as Jose Antonio Vargas. I don't know how deep you are into the fascistic line of thinking, but I would recommend reading this Pulitzer-winning book by him: https://www.amazon.com/Dear-America-Notes-Undocumented-Citizen/dp/0062851357 It lays a far more praiseworthy, noble and righteous idea of what it means to love a country, and be a part of a country. But considering some of the vile stuff in your reply above, I doubt you are going to read it. (The toxicity, dishonesty, contempt, false accusations, and hatred in your post was truly revolting.) You seem like someone who'd love nothing more than having men with guns hunt down and destroy the lives of every Dreamer/DACA recipient, the parents of Dreamers, etc. Here's a sub on the good kind of patriotism: https://www.reddit.com/r/NewPatriotism/

On the topic of my denial, the degree requirement is omitted by many large tech companies in job posting. i just looked up some job posting by Facebook, and a bunch didn't mention a degree. Same for job postings at MongoDB (another fairly significant tech company). The requirement is implicit these days. Funny thing is I've never worked at a place where my coworkers did not have a degree in CS or a related field. Every single of my teammates has had a degree. It's a requirement that goes without saying. The fact of that matter is that, they were simply looking for facetious reasons to deny. This sort of abuse and hatred of immigrants started soon after a loser of the popular vote was put into high office. My job would have never been denied under Obama. HyperScience, being a small company, didn't have the resources to write a 200-page tome in response tot he RFE. It is indeed highly probable that a 200-page book in response to the RFE would have resulted in far lower likelihood of denial. But even companies that submit a "mountain of evidence" do get denied. Here's proof:

  • Lawyers that submit 200 pages of documentation have gotten denials. See: https://twitter.com/immigrationgirl/status/928018231792668672?lang=en Quote: My new favorite quote from USCIS: "your opinion alone cannot establish the position as a specialty occupation." in a denial, as if 200 additional pages of supporting documents were not also submitted :(
  • A federal judge recently ruled in a court case (https://casetext.com/case/relx-inc-v-baran), quote: The mountain of evidence submitted by LexisNexis to support the petition more than meets the preponderance of the evidence standard. The agency's decision was not "based on a consideration of the relevant factors" and was "a clear error of judgment." [...] USCIS acted arbitrarily, capriciously, and abused its discretion in denying employer's petition for H-1B visa status -- the words in italic are that of a federal judge, not mine.

Ultimately, what is at the root of all of this, is the modern Republican Party's intense, unrelenting, contempt and hatred of all immigrants (whether legal or not). What is it rooted in? White rage. Here's another book recommendation on that topic: https://www.amazon.com/White-Rage-Unspoken-Racial-Divide-ebook/dp/B01D1RUOJU/ref=tmm_kin_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=&sr= It is too much to get into right now, but the contempt-filled and hate-driven treatment of (non-white) immigrants by Republicans today is directly rooted in the "white rage" that Carol Anderson talks about in this book.

I unfortunately feel like I've wasted my time here, and am reminded of the Bible verse that says "Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces." (Matthew 7:6). But I'm taking one last shot. Won't be responding here anymore.

There is a book about Ubu Roi the dog... well more about his owner, but it's a whole backstory to his production company. Really good read. https://www.amazon.com/Sit-Ubu-Brooklyn-Hollywood-Woman/dp/0307394190

I can't find anything. I've found this quote in a few English books but the sources they provide (if Google lets me access the sources page) aren't really useful.

I've found this which led me to this which led me to this. But there doesn't seem to be any online version available, so yeah.
