Good to hear!

I attach a couple of these hydration tube clips onto the shoulder straps. The diameter of a hydration tube is the same as the Chrome Dome shaft. The Montbell looks way more slender, so I may have to rethink this...

What I did was buy a harness off of amazon and then customize it to fit me snugly.

This is the harness I bought. I actually bought two, because I was making two versions, so I reclipped two gun holsters to mine instead of the knife sheath or whatever the other side was. I then ended up buying some more clips and attaching them to the front straps, which I had to shorten a lot. I then sewed the straps on the back of the harness together so they would fit me more snugly and my boobs weren't flying out of the harness all the time.

Here are some pictures of my completed harness. Sorry that you can't see the whole thing, but I can take more pictures if you would like me to.

UPDATE:

I saw two good sales, and I got a bit excited and so now I have the Unsettle Commuter and the Patagonia Stormfront Roll Top both on their way to me for the final, in-person showdown. I've found an external water bottle holder that will clip onto the Pat, and I've also spotted a handbag organiser that will mitigate the lack of internal pockets (see below for links to both). If the Pat looks good re: carry on luggage sizes, and holds enough, I think it will probably be the one I keep. The dimensions look better than the Unsettle one, and the waterproofing looks much more effective.

If anyone is interested I will update later but just to say thanks for all the suggestions and detailed reasoning I really appreciate it and am very excited for my new backpack :)

Oh, I'm not selling it but here is what I have:

Wisport Raccoon Pocket Graphite https://www.amazon.com/dp/B012XK4PFU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_CDrezbK2T01K4

Wisport Sparrow 30 II Rucksack Graphite https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GCG0AWS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_XGvezb975VDM4

I've had a bunch of 5.11 and other types of pocket storage, none have been as good of quality as wisport. Their colors are also really nice. Graphite was just the one that I wanted. They are pricier, but they are built so well.

Oh! I just noticed you are also PNW, this bag does great in wet weather. I may get a pack cover anyways, but have yet to have issues with it.

I also do two day trips, usually with a hike in, and I bring a hammock as my shelter. Everything fits so well with this setup.

I bought one of these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074QQGDM9/ref=twister_B074Q9RJ9L?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I got it a as a shoulder bag for secure carry for my cell phone whilst hooked up to wired headphones. I use it if i'm out in crowded places, and also with a music player for lawn work. The left shoulder bag tucks under my right arm.
It will hold a 6.2" cell phone nicely, and I have used it a few times with my Go. I have a couple of flat-pack battery banks I plan to use with it when I get the Quest.
