I use them for running, they are amazing. I'm sure they'd work for just walking, I'd recommend the Skins brand.

Edit: I am a dude and I'm a big guy, they are totally awesome for dealing with chafing. It's not even a consideration any more, although I've not worn them for more than my 30 minute run so I can't really attest to that part.
That's great, I just ordered one of them and cut out the lining of my swim trunks. I dug out and now wear my old Skins underneath my trunks which are fantastic for rugby, hiking and all sorts and they last a million years.

I'm almost 6'2", 167 pounds. I just bought these in the medium tall and they are plenty long. Well, I haven't washed them yet so I'll have to see if they shrink.

Asics 2000 7’s, Balega ankle socks and Baleaf wind breaker are my newest pieces. All are AMAZING! Shoes and socks were a bit pricey, but the jacket was really inexpensive and WELL worth it!!
I have pretty narrow feet with more than a bit of pronation, so shoes can sometimes be a challenge. Challenge met AND EXCEEDED!

Hey man I have 2 pairs of leggings. One of them is a columbia brand which I paid 80$~ish for, and another one that I bought from amazon for 20ish. I would definitely recommend the amazon one as I barely notice any difference.
