Very sturdy buns achieved with the following recipe(result of my own experimentation), 3 buns(10cm diameter):

  • 50g Coconut flour

  • 30g sunflower oil

  • 30g flaxseed powder

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp Dried Rosemary (optional)

  • 1 tsp garlic&pepper powder (optional)

  • 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 70g milk

Baked for 30min at 175C. And of course, you have to have silicone molds to even attempt this.

Mix dry ingredients in one bowl, mix wet ingredients in other bowl. Blend wet ingredients with blender, pour dry ingredients into wet ingredients bowl and blend again. Pour the mass into silicone molds.

    P.S.

In this instance I bought extra large meat burger, because the normal-sized ones were sold out. So, don't let the picture fool you; normal burgers are well within the boundary of the buns.

Additionally, this is the fastest, easiest, cleanest keto food I've ever made. I might switch entirely to making sandwiches with these so I don't have to grill meat or cheese burgers.

Not the exact same one, but I think it should be a mold/tray out of silicone.

Amazon sells them for $7!!

That's going in the cart for me.

Chicken Yakitori Great finger food!

And pretty much anything from this website

I've got more if you want. A simple trick with onigiri is to make them in a non zip sandwich bag. You the bag to line a onigiri mould and them put the rice in the bag. You don't get your hands all messy. You can also just shape them in the bag if you don't have a mould. Then they are individually wrapped for your guest and easier to eat. I used to be the club "mom" for my school's Japanese club and would do this all the time.

Donut pan mmmmmm.

u/daysecraze · 3 pointsr/FoodPorn

Sure! They're actually baked, not deep-fried, and I got them off the back of this pan I bought that had the min-donut shape.

  • 1 1/4 cups of flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 3/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 cup of buttermilk
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 /1/2 tablespoons butter, melted

Preheat oven to 425F. Spray pan with non-stick cooking spray.

In a large mixing bowl, sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg and salt. Add buttermilk, egg, and butter and stir until just combined. Fill each doughnut cup approximately 1/2 full.

Bake 4-6 minutes or until the top of the doughnuts spring back when touched. Let cool in pan for 4-5 minutes before removing. You can then glaze or add sprinkles :)

I used a pan like this: Mini Doughnut Pan

Agree with the comment about marzipan.

Alternatively, you might be able to find silicon molds for rabbits and use them with melted chocolate. option

Sometimes, if you don’t really care too much of the shape or a perfectionist in that sense, you can sometimes find plastic molds for onigiri such as this on Amazon or this from Daiso . I’ve only seen these once in a general Japanese store but hopefully this helps.

u/Pantegral-7 · 2 pointsr/tumblr

Cookie shots were invented by Dominique Ansel (stores in NYC, LA and London), but you can bake some yourself as long as you have the needed custom mold.

u/JenTiki · 2 pointsr/cocktails

Normally I'm all about the fresh ingredients, but for 5-year olds: Hawaiian Punch and 7-up. Freeze some pineapple rings and water in donut molds to keep the drink cold and maybe throw in some edible flowers. Garnish with a cherry or two on an umbrella pick.

I so "need" this.

  1. For measuring by weight: it feels really daunting until you do it the first time, and then it becomes much simpler. I use the King Arthur Flour Ingredient Weight Chart to do conversions. That chart is incredibly comprehensive-I've never needed a weight for anything that isn't listed, but if you ever do, you can just measure out the recommended amount and then toss it on the scale to get a baseline weight to work from.

I have a basic digital food scale from Walmart. No idea what brand, I just like them to be digital and weigh in both ounces and grams, and have a rare feature (that allows you to place an empty container on the scale and then reset the weight to zero before you add ingredients so that you don't have to do that math manually).

I started out converting my recipes into oz. but I ran into two problems: my scale only read two decimals, and it rounded to the nearest .05 oz. For improved accuracy, I've switched to grams and have been much happier. I only weigh items that would normally be measured by cups, like flour and sugar. Things that are measured in tsp. or tbsp. I leave alone because those weights are negligible anyway. I place a mixing bowl onto the food scale and just dump my flours and sugars directly from the package into the bowl to weigh, so I end up using fewer dishes and making less mess. After weighing, I just dump each ingredient into the mixer and stir. It takes a few minutes to switch your brain over to this system, but I absolutely believe it's worth it.

It's also really easy to scale recipes up or down by nearly any amount-for instance, I have one recipe that uses canned pumpkin, but it calls for something like 2 oz. more pumpkin than is in a standard can, so I used to open two cans and discard the remainder because it was very difficult to figure out how to scale the recipe up when some ingredients were divisible by 1/4 cups and others by 1/3. When measuring by weight, I can easily adjust the recipe to use either a single can of pumpkin or two cans by multiplying all my ingredient weights by either .83 or 1.33 respectively.

  2. The silicone baking mats that I use are just flat sheets that sit on the surface of a cookie sheet. I've bought two sets from Amazon as well as a single at from Aldi and all have been roughly equal in terms of quality and performance. Both sets that I bought are now out of stock, but this is comparable. The worst problem that I've found is that many mats are sized to fit inside a half sheet-sized cookie sheet, while most of the cookie sheets sold for home use are slightly narrower, so the mats ride up over the edge of my trays just a bit and can make the cookies slide around as they bake. Since you aren't supposed to cut the mats down, I had to measure my trays and buy the narrowest mats I could find. If half sheet trays weren't so fanged expensive, I would have tossed all my existing cookie sheets and bought new ones to fit the mats.

I doubt silicone mats would work to line cake pans, as you can't cut them and you would need it to cover the sides of the pan to really be effective. However, there are tons of options for silicone baking pans. Here's just one example from Amazon. I've never used these for baking, but I do have a cupcake pan and a mini loaf pan that I use for freezing things like homemade chicken stock, herbs in oil, etc. and have been very happy with them. They aren't as slick as the baking mats so you may still need to oil them-that would be something to research before diving in.

I have these mats, which are a pretty standard size, and the circles are 1.5 inches.

2. About me: I hate kiwi, can't stand it. tastes like dirt on paper.

I'd like to try my hand at a chocolate-lined cookie shot cup but I have absolutely no idea what to put in it. A shot of baileys and toss the cookie down the hatch? Adult chocolate milk?

Hello from two months in the future! I just wanted to say thank you for this link -- I was looking for molds just like these, and your comment helped me to find them in Amazon 'Murica. :D

^(p.s. Next Tuesday's Euromillions draw is 12 - 19 - 23 - 43 - 47 / LS 02 - 06)

^(p.p.s. Good luck, hope I didn't foul up the past!)

u/8-BitBaker · 1 pointr/Baking

Yes, they do! I actually originally bought them for my macarons at the suggestion of Sally's Baking Addiction. I started using them for regular cookies as well and that's where my surprise at how well they worked came in. :) I bought full half-sheet silpats but you can also buy silicone mats from Amazon that actually have macaron templates built in.

I made some parchment paper templates to stick under my silpats, but I've been meaning to get macaron silpats too.

Mini donut pan!!. How awesome would it be to make mini donuts in your own home?! It could be a fun family/friend activity.

u/Fredericia · 1 pointr/macarons

If this is true, then those mats that restrict the spread are a good thing, right? I've heard they're not good because you don't get good "feet" with them.

I really don't know much about macs - an online friend turned me on to them. He's wild about the ones from Poppies in Belgium. They had them as a spot item here in Denmark for a week in July and I was pretty impressed with them, but I don't know if that's how they really are supposed to taste. Personally I like my homemade ones better, because they taste more like almond and they're chewier, but are they supposed to be that way? Someone on here complained because their first try tasted too much like almond flour, but that is precisely what I like about them.

u/suckinonmytitties · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I see that you like both Doctor Who and baking, so I think you should get this Tardis apron and these Tardis molds. You can make them while watching some of the Doctor Who DVDs that are already on your wish list and have an awesome day of food and adventures! Also, if you need someone to eat cake and watch Doctor Who with you, I'm your girl! :P

If I win I would really love this external battery phone charger thingy! Thank you and I hope your week gets better :)

u/aws1012 · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I'm sorry your week has been bad. :( I hope the weekend makes it better! <3

Oh my gosh, I think you should buy this because it's awesome! Plus, how could baking a Doctor Who cake, decorating it, and then eating it not cheer you up?

If I win, a gift card would be really nice since I'm trying to save up for a new duvet cover. If not that, though, I'd love [this](http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000GG158E/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_ttl? _encoding=UTF8&colid=1S041OZOQDTEI&coliid=I3FFJTJYI73Q04)! :) Thanks for the contest!

Edited because I was on my phone and used some wrong words. :P

DANG GIRL!!!

Also since you love Dr. Who and I am just getting into it love it also.

Doctor Who Tardis Molds

Tardis Jello or Tardis cupcakes....Heck yes. Also they are much bigger than they appear to be.

I know it is not $50 but if you order a couple than it adds up to about that.

Jiggery-pokery

Happy cake day! There's a bunch of us today! Haha

this macaron tray for my sister would be great!

u/Nam-Ereh-Won · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Unless you change the flavor, it's a mild sweet almond taste. Perhaps a macaron mat would make it easier.

u/scatteredloops · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Games like Candyland would be good for the older two, and the younger one can help out, or maybe even join in. Something fun they can do that's a bit messy is to buy a cheap canvas or two from a dollar store, get some kid's paint and a couple of tennis balls or big sponges. You might need a tarp or two to line the area first, then dip the ball/sponge in the paint and have them throw it at the canvas. They can make some art for you or their parents as gifts!

Cakepops are something I've been meaning to try!

u/tribbletime · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Donut pan...how excited am I if I win! It's on my "Eat" wishlist. $8.88!!

u/MCubb · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I nominate my mom! She's had to put up with, and go through, more than her fair share. And for that I think she deserves more than her fair share of great things!

She loves baking so this doughnut pan would be super fun! Even if it's just used for brownies!

I heart Mom's!

Here is the recipe for Season 3 Episode 1 (Great British Baking Show : The Beginnings Episode 1 in netflix)

https://www.bbc.com/food/recipes/rum_babas_served_with_48561

You need four baba tins (savarin moulds) or small dariole moulds. They look like these. What I have is these, so I would be using these large donuts tray. Also other noteworthy ingredients

  • sachet fast action yeast
  • dark rum
  • vanilla pod (If you wish to stay true to the ingredients listing. I think I will end up using vanilla essence though)

Other ingredients are easily available, so not writing all ingredients. Please follow the ingredients and recipe as per the link.

We will post pics by next weekend: 13th/14th of April. It just so happens to be my birthday on 14th :-)

My craft, art and greatest joy is writing. I was born to write and I'm lucky enough to actually make money doing what I love. I'm so grateful for it.

People inspire me, whether it be my Dad supporting my decisions, or my friends believing in me and encouraging me, or the people I write about in my articles/ interact with. The world inspires me in many ways and I try to give back to it using what I know.

EMMACAT THE DESTROYER

And when I get tired of writing, I'm also pretty crafty in the kitchen.
Please help me make tasty donuts.

These are a staple in my home. Delicious, low carb, good fiber. Can do so much with them, hamburger rolls, sandwich rolls, English muffin substitute. Great with butter, cream cheese, hummus, etc. My next plan is to get this and make bagels. Sausage egg and cheese on a bagel.... can't wait.

As one avid doughnut fan I must recommend an iron pan to bake the doughnuts in. This is similar but actually having those pups roast in that oven well, the difference will be noticeable. Something like this http://www.amazon.com/Norpro-3980-12-Count-Nonstick-Donut/dp/B0000DDVVL Go Doughnuts! [6]

Most long term bulk storage lists suggest rice. I suppose options for cooking are the one you have prepared and defended.

I was just looking at the list and can not imagine having time to cook with flour every day. I bake edible bread, but I am not a pastry chef. This recipe seems a simpler option to make a sandwich from scratch.

My partner really enjoyed Onigiri when he visited Japan. He bugged me to learn how to make them. You really don't need the Nori, furikake is all you need to make them taste good. I even got a mold to make them faster.

For people who have a stockpile of Spam, try it the Hawaiian way.
