Their workout bag is one of the best. Had it for four years without any problems.

They make suit bags that fit underneath the seat now, which fixes the problem unless you have a bulkhead seat.

Personally I always travel with a carryon that fits under the seat so I never have to worry about bin space. This gym bag with wet pocket has served me well for several years and fits a lot more than it looks.

Thanks! Bought it for the M1, but it is nice enough to use anytime and fits a good amount of stuff. Right now carrying my M1, snacks, Sony M1000X in its case, my Samsung Chromebook Pro, DSXL, 2 magazines and other random trinkets.

Not a lot of padding though, but even with padding I was going to baby it so I figured it wasn't a problem.

I bring a bag like this on every trip I take, just in case:

https://www.amazon.com/Foldable-Travel-Duffel-Luggage-Resistant/dp/B019HIP8X4

Easy to pack, and worth it whether you use it or not.

I wouldn't right out say that someone would regret not buying physical things on trips. They might enjoy their trips differently.

I second the first idea to pack an extra collapsable bag if you're ok with flying home with two. Amazon has a few cheaper ones like this: https://www.amazon.com/Foldable-Travel-Duffel-Luggage-Resistant/dp/B019HIP8X4

If you're also thinking of buying souvenirs for friends, I would suggest skipping the little trinkets and sending them a postcard from wherever you are, which can be more personal.

Yes! It's very nice when walking around the airport. I used to always carry a backpack, but having a bag on my suitcase is so much more handy for getting things out of my bag.

I have this bag from Amazon, and it's surprisingly well made for only being $40. My only complaint with it is that I wish the handles were attached with a bracket or something so they would lie flat against the bag when not in use. The same company also has this bag which has the kind of handles I want and looks bigger. I might have to get that one at some point.

oops, sorry! This is what I get for clicking off articles and forgetting they have referral links. See below for edited.

So my first thought was the knomo Grosvenor Square but at $180 it's more than a little out of your budget. However, I would look at knomo and baggallini on eBay if you don't mind used. If I remember correctly, baggallini was designed by flight attendants so they are super travel friendly and there is a great selection of them on eBay.

*I know that knomo one is olive and still $60 but I've seen black ones for about 40 before, you just have to watch.

EDIT: I found some more options, though I'm not as sure of the quality.

honestly a great bag for that price. Mine has shown no signs of wear since I've bought it in September (I think)

I use the hayabusa mesh bag. Holds two pairs of gloves shin guards and headgear with room for more. More importantly it let's stuff air out. Very durable mesh as well.

I got this recently and really like it. I got the yellow because it was cheaper but in person it's actually kind of a really light yellow green and imo looks nicer than the picture. Seems well made. Has quite a few pockets, a separate one for shoes and a wet pocket. I highly recommend this.

This was back in March or April. Some shit went on her lap and some food had to be purchased on site, but we made it work. And man was it worth it to take an empty Big Sur in my NC.

Edit: Oh, and for those interested, I found this invaluable for planning. It's about the size of an NC trunk and my apartment at the time was up 3 flights, so helped me plan what would fit before lugging shit up and down.

I got this no name bag from Amazon. Been holding up.

I'm 6' 1'' and just recently went to this bag: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OD5K6DE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I did have a roller bag, and I love my new carry bag in comparison, it's cheap, has a couple side pockets, and it's actually lighter than my roller bag was.

I bought this one recently and I’m loving it for the price: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00UZP2TFE?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

Nothing fancy, just a big duffel with water resistant fabric. Not sure how well it’ll hold up but seems like it’s decent quality.

I really like my Everest, which I heard about from Wirecutter. It's got enough pockets, easy to clean, and a separate compartment for my smelly shoes. $25.00

I have been looking for the perfect gym bag recently as well. I haven't purchased one yet. This one is one I found that I like that might do the trick for you. It has a shoe compartment, two bottle compartments on the side, and inside it has a "wet pocket". I'm not certain of the size of this pocket but it seems like it would be good for dirty stuff.

Thank you! Looking into packable day packs, I found some duffle bags (example). This seems to be a pretty good solution.

I LOVE this bag I got off amazon

Many people carry a small collapsible daypack within their larger pack which is an option to hold electronics and valuables while in transit in the way you are suggesting.

As another option you could work on reducing your stuff so it all fits into a smaller pack (20-25L).

I use a 21L pack but my wife and I tend to like buying food, snacks, and drinks to bring back so I've run into the issue of how to do that. On my last trip I brought this 40L packable duffel ($17) which fit easily into my pack. It fit a ton of goodies which we just checked in on the way back. I was pretty happy with how it worked out and it added a lot of optionality for me. Maybe something like that would work for you.

I just use an Under Armor gym bag that I picked up for like $30. Has a vented nasty clothes/shoes portion and pockets enough to hold everything I might need for a WOD plus toiletries, towel, etc. Don't see a need for anything that expensive to live in my car and go into the box for an hour or two at most.
