I responded to the open hire ad they had in June 2008 with zero aviation knowledge or experience, knowing nothing about aviation rules, but I always thought it'd be a cool job (the pay was just a benefit, not a motivator). I passed the AT-SAT and work at STL.
Don't listen to much of anything on StuckMic; it's mostly CTI kids that were deemed ineligible whining mixed with more speculation than the MH370 flight details.
Two months is way too much time to spend on studying. If you really want to know even a little as to what to expect, buy the green book (http://www.amazon.com/Traffic-Control-Career-Prep-Comprehensive/dp/1560276142/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1395371876&sr=8-1&keywords=at-sat), though the CD with the book doesn't really work. www.jeremyjustice.com has some sample games that are close to the real thing. In any case, it's an aptitude test. You can't study for those.
Getting above an 85 doesn't guarantee you anything, just that you're considered "Well Qualified". Then you're in the pool with every other WQ candidate. You won't necessarily be last on the list; a lot of the selection seems to be based on your location and if they have something open near you.
I have

at home (no link because mobile). The response is significantly firmer than the ANK we use in the tower. My friend has a mechanical keyboard one srep below this, but is still firmer than the ANK. I'd go two steps down from the board i linked.
Hope this helps.
So it looks like you'd be looking at around $70 - 80 using a print service (though I'd be willing to bet you could get it much cheaper through a local print shop)
I know you said you didn't want to print at home, but you might wanna consider getting a cheap brother later printer and just printing it yourself.

Costs about the same as using a big name print service and you now you have a cheap efficient printer for when changes come out. The included toner should be more than enough for a copy or two of the 7110.65

$18 and some change for a paperback copy.
Edit: print is a bit small with it, someone at my facility bought a copy and it's handy enough though. Nothing like a PDF version you can quickly search though.
Speaking of scan does anyone else remember when the ex ZLA (Pete
Trueno?Trono) guy tried to sell his scanning workshop to the Agency and they bit on it and made trainees in the early 2010s take a stupid 4hr course? Might have just been the LA district...Found it on Amazon, it might work for you, might not.
